I have been a member of an internet dating service for years now and one thing that always amazes me is the amount of people that can’t spell. Sometimes you can tell that it’s some stupid internet dating site scammer pretending to be an American or Canadian. In most cases it’s a North American that either doesn’t take the time to spell or doesn’t know how.
All I can say is I am sick of people using ‘ur’ to spell ‘you’re’ and ’should of’ instead of ’should’ve’ as in ’should have’. Please people, when you’re on an internet dating site you’re trying to make a good impression! Take the time to spell things correctly and watch out for obvious grammar mistakes.
All of us in North America have had access to a decent public education system and hopefully you even remembered a thing or two. And for those who don’t, remember to use spell check. It’s not perfect, but it’s definitely a step in the right direction
