There are many things to consider when joining an internet dating site. First impressions are always important and if the internet dating site doesn’t give you that comfort factor than chances are you’re moving to the next site in your list.
On top of the visual pleasing aspect of the site there is always the confidence factor. Does the site give you the confidence that they care about your personal information or are they just in it for the money? For me there are a couple of telling signs; is their privacy policy easy to find and does makes sense? Do they have outside sources verifying their privacy policy like Truste for example?
When it comes to internet dating services you need to make sure your personal information is a top priority for them. The next thing to consider is how much of the site do they allow you to see before you have joining. Many free internet dating sites will only allow you to see a small portion of the site rather than allowing you to view all of their members. This is a real turn off for me and it makes you wonder ‘what are you hiding?’
